The world's highest parameter reheated waste power generation turbine is successfully connected to the grid

On November 21, the world's highest parameter reheat waste power generation turbine designed and manufactured by Oriental Electric Group Oriental Turbine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Oriental Turbine") was successfully connected to the grid at Everbright Environmental Protection Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and fully loaded.

The first phase of the project is equipped with three garbage incineration furnaces with a daily processing capacity of 750 tons/day, and correspondingly, three medium-temperature ultra-high pressure reheating steam boilers and two N40-12.6/425/405 medium-temperature ultra-high pressure, non-adjusted extraction condensation reheating steam turbine generator sets. This project is the second waste-to-power generation project in China that adopts primary reheating technology, and is also the world's highest parameter reheating waste-to-power generation project.

On October 12, in the factory of the G50 Development Center of Oriental Turbine Co., Ltd., accompanied by the rumbling of the first domestic unit operation sound of independently developed F-class 50MW heavy-duty gas engine test, Oriental Electric Group and China Aero Engine Group (hereinafter referred to as China Aero Engine) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The two parties will further deepen cooperation in the development of key technologies and products of aviation engines and gas turbines, as well as wind power industry.

Oriental Electric and China Aerospace Engineering have a history of close cooperation in the field of gas turbines. According to data, since Oriental Electric started from a "blank piece of paper" in 2009 and started the independent development of the F-class 50MW heavy-duty gas turbine, the two sides have carried out close cooperation in the development of key components of the gas turbine and jointly undertake the major research and development tasks of the national science and technology major projects of heavy-duty gas turbines, and established a very good cooperative partnership, laying a solid foundation for the successful test ignition of the first domestic F-class 50MW heavy-duty gas turbine independently developed on September 27.

As the core equipment in the field of power generation and drive, heavy gas turbines reflect a country's industrial level and are known as the "crown jewel" of the equipment manufacturing industry. At present, the working temperature of the gas turbine has approached 1700℃. The high-temperature components operate above the metal melting point for a long time, and are subject to extremely high stress and corrosion environments. The working environment of the components is extremely harsh and the design is extremely difficult.

Since gas turbine technology is widely used in the fields of defense, transportation, energy and environmental protection such as aviation, ships and locomotive power, pipeline boosting, and power generation, it is a symbol of the country's scientific and technological level and comprehensive national strength, foreign countries have strictly blocked my country. In order to break through the design and manufacturing technology of gas turbines, under the difficult conditions of neither design specifications, design procedures nor design experience, since 2009, Oriental Electric Group has formed a scientific research team in its affiliated company Oriental Turbine, embarking on the journey of independently developing F-class 50 MW heavy-duty gas turbines.

There are tens of thousands of parts for 50 MW heavy-duty gas turbines, from design technology to material machinery to test facilities, it is a very large and complex system project. After ten years of hard work, on September 27, Oriental Electric announced that the ignition test of the prototype machine was successful, and the initial battle of the whole machine was successful. In the next stage, Oriental Electric will "strive to form a system that integrates R&D, manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and services."

Compared with Oriental Electric, which started in the late 1950s, China Aerospace Engineering is a relatively young national team among the several domestic forces that have focused on gas turbines. China Aviation Engine, officially established in August 2016, has shouldered the mission of "accelerating the realization of independent research and development and manufacturing of aircraft engines and gas turbines" since its establishment.

Aero engine technology provides a technical basis for modification for light gas turbines and heavy gas turbines. There are two types of gas turbine structures: heavy-duty and light-duty. The industrial and marine gas turbines formed by the modification of aero engines are light-duty gas turbines. Industrial heavy-duty gas turbines developed in accordance with the traditional steam turbine concept are mainly used in mechanical drives and large power plants.

In April this year, China Aerospace Engineering Gas Turbine Co., Ltd., jointly funded by China Aerospace Engineering and the Shenyang Municipal Government, was officially established in Shenyang. The company has five centers including product research and development, marketing, manufacturing and assembly and testing, engineering services and maintenance guarantee. It will integrate China Airlines' civilian gas turbine industry resources, focusing on the development of gas turbine products and businesses such as "three lights and one heavy", and aim to become a "world-class gas turbine equipment supplier."
