At 13:10 pm on July 28, the Quzhou Yuanli Drive Turbine Project, a drive turbine independently developed and designed by the Industrial Turbine Department of Oriental Turbine Co., Ltd., and used in the steel industry, achieved a one-time trial run in the Dongqi Industrial Turbine Department. The unit successfully passed all predetermined performance tests and completed the maximum speed test of 5465 rpm. During the test run, the unit operated smoothly, with bearing vibrations less than 10 microns, and the remaining indicators were better than the design value, which marked a new breakthrough in the field of industrial drives.

In December 2018, Dongqi and Quzhou Yuanli Metal Products Co., Ltd. signed a 2×9MW drive condensation steam engine product supply contract, which is mainly used in the 450m2 sintering project of Quzhou Yuanli Metal Products Co., Ltd. The product is a brand new design product with a delivery cycle of only 8 and a half months. Under the extremely tight delivery cycle, GE attaches great importance to it, always follows the quality policy of "doing well at one time", adheres to "creating value for customers", invests the strongest R&D power, uses the most advanced design technology, and adopts scientific project execution methods, focusing on controlling all links from design to assembly and assembly, ensuring product quality and production progress, and meeting the delivery cycle requirements. After hard work, the project produced drawings on schedule according to the planned nodes, completed the part-time processing on schedule, completed the factory assembly on schedule, and successfully completed a series of test run tasks. The unit is a steam turbine for sub-high temperature, sub-high pressure, single-cylinder single-axis, upper exhaust steam, and pure condensation drive, and uses the latest current flow technology. Compared with conventional steam turbines for power generation, it has outstanding advantages such as good stability, high economy, fast start and flexible operation, and has both universality and applicability in the fields of steel and chemical industry.

In the same year, the 40MW biomass generator set of high temperature and ultra-high pressure reheat once was successfully put into operation in Luochuan, Qiquan, and the first 50MW grade solar photothermal turbine in China was successfully put into operation in Delingha City, Qinghai Province. Dongqi's high-efficiency reheat and high-efficiency turbine was successfully applied to the fields of waste power generation, solar power generation and biomass power generation, comprehensively improving the technical level and performance of various series of products, playing a leading role in the industrial steam turbine market, creating huge economic and social benefits for customers, and receiving banners from general contractors such as Borui Environmental Protection, Jiujiang Pinggang, Xizi United, and Zhongqi Power Construction.
