State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council: Accelerate the green, low-carbon efficiency transformation of central enterprises in central regions

On March 25, the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council held an enlarged meeting to deeply study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the symposium on promoting the rise of the central region in the new era, closely combine the actual work to study and implement measures, further promote state-owned central enterprises to actively serve the national strategy, actively assist local economic development, strengthen strategic support role, and show greater responsibility and action in promoting the rise of the central region in the new era. Zhang Yuzhuo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting believes that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the symposium on promoting the rise of the central region in the new era is far-sighted and overall, reflecting the high attention to the central region, drawing a blueprint for high-quality development in the central region, pointing out the direction for state-owned central enterprises to do a good job in related work, and providing fundamental guidance. State-owned central enterprises should study and understand them carefully, further improve their political stance, take the initiative, enhance their sense of responsibility and mission to promote the rise of the central region in the new era, actively seize major national strategic opportunities, and make greater contributions to actively serving the national strategy.

The meeting pointed out that it is necessary to further strengthen the role of industrial support, focus on key industrial fields such as advanced manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and artificial intelligence, and combine the endowment characteristics of the central region to give priority to the pilot construction of strategic emerging industry clusters. Focusing on future materials, future information, and future manufacturing, accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productivity, and promote enterprises in central regions to increase their efforts to forge strengths, make up for shortcomings, and cast new boards, and jointly maintain the resilience and security and stability of my country's industrial chain and supply chain; further strengthen the leadership of scientific and technological innovation, deepen the research and development of original leading technologies, accelerate the creation of original technology source, and promote a number of major majors. The landmark achievements are accelerated to be transformed and applied in the central region to better promote the deep integration of industry, education, research and application in the central region; further adhere to collaborative linkage, strengthen resource allocation and integration, carry out cross-industry and cross-regional cooperation around the central region, explore new cooperation models, and promote the better transformation of industrial advantages of central enterprises into local development momentum; further implement ecological and environmental protection responsibilities, actively explore the mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products, help the green and integrated development of the central region, accelerate the green and low-carbon efficiency transformation of central enterprises in the central region, comprehensively improve resource and energy utilization efficiency, and better coordinate ecological and environmental protection and economic development.
