One hour later, it connected to the nearby ring network cabinet through a flexible cable and was incorporated into the main network of the high-tech area to relieve the operating pressure of equipment during peak power consumption.

In accordance with the unified deployment of State Grid Co., Ltd., on August 17, 13 units including State Grid Beijing, Shanxi, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Gansu, Qinghai Electric Power urgently assembled 50 Taichung Voltage power generators to help Sichuan to improve the local emergency power supply guarantee capacity. As of August 19, 39 power generation vehicles have arrived at designated locations to connect to overload equipment for operation, and the remaining 11 have arrived in Chengdu on the 20th, helping to win the battle to defend power supply in Sichuan for peak summer.

Since July, Sichuan has experienced extreme high temperatures, with an average precipitation of 51% less than the same period last year, and the hydropower capacity has continued to decline. In the severe situation where high temperatures do not subside and rainwater has not come, State Grid Sichuan Power Company has always put the protection of people's livelihood electricity first, and leverages the advantages of the large grid group operation of State Grid Co., Ltd., strives for cross-regional and cross-provincial power support, reduces water and electricity transmission, and increases the electricity in Sichuan. Debao DC's power supply was sent for the first time at the end of the flood season, and received an additional power transmission of 80 million kilowatt-hours in Northwest, Central China and North China, making full use of cross-provincial and cross-regional transmission channels.

In addition, State Grid Sichuan Power taps the potential of cross-regional and cross-provincial mutual assistance in the power grid. On the basis of medium- and long-term transactions, it strives for incremental power resources through market means such as inter-provincial spot trading to ensure the balance margin of power. The company urges all power generation companies to strengthen unit operation and maintenance to ensure stable operation of units and stable full production during peak electricity consumption; urges all hydropower plants to strengthen water situation prediction, do a good job in water storage on the basis of ensuring ecological flow, and give full play to the peak capacity of hydropower during summer heavy loads; strengthen power generation scheduling management, continue to implement dynamic verification of power coal inventory, and strive to open all non-unified power supply during peak electricity consumption and issue as much as possible.

Since the beginning of summer, State Grid Sichuan Power has sent a total of 17,000 inspection personnel to carry out special inspections and rectification of risks and hidden dangers in ultra-high voltage channels and key substations, and conduct special inspections on flooding and flood control, fire prevention and explosion prevention hazards in urban distribution equipment. At present, the company has completed the control of equipment failure and defect cancellation.

Chongqing: Strengthen inspection of important line equipment using various means

Early in the morning of August 18, under the Tower 3 of the 220 KV Caojiang East-West Line of Mopanshan, Caojie Street Office, Hechuan District, Chongqing, Zhang Zhengping, an employee of the transmission operation and maintenance team of Hechuan Power Supply Company, and his colleagues operated a white drone to quickly take off, preparing to conduct a comprehensive "inquiry and pulse" of metal tools, insulators, wires, etc., and promptly discover and eliminate defects and hidden dangers that affect the safe operation of the line.

"This line connects two 220 kV substations and one 110 kV substation, which is very important to ensure the power supply in the area." Zhang Zhengping said that the Caojiang East-West Line is located between mountains and hills. It used to be manual inspection. It took more than half an hour to inspect a base tower every day. In the hot summer, this is a great physical and mental test for inspectors. After the drone inspection is used, it only takes about 10 minutes to inspect a base tower and line, and the inspection efficiency and quality are greatly improved.

Employees of State Grid Chongqing Hechuan Power Supply Company use drones to patrol transmission lines.

At the same time, in the transmission operation and maintenance team office of Hechuan Power Supply Company, squad leader Li Jibing was operating a panoramic transmission monitoring platform to conduct remote intelligent inspections of the connected 220 kV Shuanghua North and South Lines, focusing on monitoring whether there are tree barriers, wildfire dangers and other abnormal situations in the line channel.

Since the beginning of summer, Chongqing has issued 8 high-temperature red warnings. On August 18, the temperature at the national station in Beibei District reached 45 degrees Celsius, breaking the highest temperature since Chongqing's meteorological record. Continuous high temperatures and droughts have brought great challenges to the safe operation of the power grid. While doing a good job in purchasing power from outside, power grid operation, State Grid Chongqing Power Company has used intelligent inspection equipment such as drones, panoramic power transmission monitoring platforms, inspection robots, etc. to strengthen the inspection and operation and maintenance of dense channels, important lines, and important substations, and make every effort to prevent wildfires and ensure the safety of line equipment operation.

From June 15 to August 18, State Grid Chongqing Power dispatched more than 6,000 front-line operation and maintenance personnel and more than 2,000 vehicles per day to carry out special patrols and special protection for dense channels, important lines, important substations and other line equipment in the supply area. At the same time, 77 substations were restored to be on duty, and auxiliary cooling measures were taken for 255 main transformers, eliminating 868 main network defects, and implementing 145 distribution network reinforcement projects; 56 wildfire prevention squatting points were set up, and 36 wildfire incidents were successfully handled, which effectively ensured the safe operation of Chongqing's power grid.

Anhui: Scientific scheduling ensures stable and orderly power supply

On August 19, the maximum temperature in 64 cities and counties in Anhui Province exceeded 37 degrees Celsius, and 9 cities and counties exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, and the power load of Anhui power grid increased significantly.

In order to ensure the stable and orderly power supply and to maintain the bottom line of people's livelihood electricity use, State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd. scientifically dispatched and fought a tough battle to ensure power supply by strictly implementing the provincial unit supply assessment system and improving the peak capacity of non-unified units.

On August 19, due to the initial power operation, the installed 135,000 kilowatt unit of Qiandian Power Plant in Huainan, Anhui was connected to the grid for 4 days after a failure and shut down, and the peak output of 80,000 kilowatts was made during the peak of the same evening.

State Grid Anhui Huainan Power Supply Company has carried out line transformation to serve power consumption in township enterprises.

State Grid Anhui Power has also strengthened docking with municipal governments, established a mechanism for interviews and supervision of non-unified units, assisted the government in formulating management evaluation standards for non-unified units, and carried out special supervision led by the government. State Grid Anhui Power evaluates the status and peak capacity of the non-unified-controlled units every day, and arranges the units to reduce load during the power consumption trough period or shut down for maintenance to eliminate defects to ensure the peak capacity of the units during the next round peak period.

"Today, the power grid is in short supply. It is now notified that unit 1 of Wuzhuang Power Plant will be fully operational from 16:00 to 24:00." On August 19, Guo Fei, dispatcher of the Regulation and Control Center of Ma'anshan Power Supply Company, conducted efforts to dispatch non-unified units such as Wuzhuang and Xiangshan Power Plants. On the same day, the Anhui Power Grid non-unified units contributed 3.2 million kilowatts, supporting the regional power demand for power grids.

According to the Anhui Meteorological Department, the high temperatures in Anhui will continue. State Grid Anhui Power will continue to optimize scheduling, "increase revenue and reduce expenditure" and improve the power supply capacity.

Hubei: Stick to the front line of operations and inspection to ensure reliable power supply

Starting from early August, Hubei experienced rare high temperature and drought weather. State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. raised resources from multiple sources, and more than 70,000 employees stayed on standby and on duty day and night, carried out equipment inspection and operation and maintenance, late-night defect elimination, demand response services, etc., to fully respond to the high temperature test and ensure the safe, stable and orderly power supply.

"If you persist, there are still a few foundation towers left." On August 18, on Jieling Mountain at an altitude of more than 600 meters in Xiaochang County, the southern foot of the Dabie Mountains, following the finger of Yang Jun, the squad leader of the second power transmission and transportation inspection team of the Xiaogan Power Supply Company Maintenance Branch, a small path extends to the depths of the mountain.

At 9 o'clock that day, deep in Jieling Mountain, Yang Jun led his team to walk on the patrol route for nearly two hours, and beads of sweat as big as beans kept flowing down everyone's cheeks. The 110 kV phoenix boundary they inspected was 27 kilometers long, with a total of 13 iron towers, most of which were erected in mountains above 600 meters above sea level.

On the road to inspection, they need to measure temperature and check for hidden dangers. "Now with drones, patrolling lines in mountainous areas is much more efficient. You can complete the inspection tasks that took two hours in more than 10 minutes, and you can view the situation on the tower more clearly and accurately." After Yang Jun finished speaking, he picked up the mineral water and poured it on his face for a moment of cooling. In order to ensure the signal is stable, they need to stand in a relatively open place and operate the drone in the scorching sun to carry out patrol work.

"In our business, the higher the temperature, the more we have to run out. We are tired, and we are afraid that the people will not be able to use electricity." While speaking, Yang Jun received a text message: Xiaogan City Meteorological Observatory issued an orange warning signal for high temperatures. The maximum temperature in Xiaogan will rise to above 41 degrees Celsius, and the local temperature can reach above 42 degrees Celsius.

In response to the possible hidden dangers of power transmission and transformation equipment under extreme high temperature weather, State Grid Hubei Power has strengthened the inspection and maintenance of important transmission channels and equipment, and carried out live operations in a timely manner to eliminate defects. All employees of the company are fighting the heat and ensuring power supply, orderly ensuring the safe and stable operation of the province's production and living electricity and the Hubei power grid.
