Hualong No. 1 overseas first pile of conventional island steam turbine buckle covers completed
According to the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council on July 30, at 17:46 on July 24, as the LP2 low-pressure cylinder slowly fell, the conventional island steam turbine cover node of the K-2 unit of the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant in Hualong No. 1 was successfully realized, marking the shift of the focus of the conventional island installation from equipment installation to single-unit debugging, laying a solid foundation for subsequent steam turbine carriage and thermal tests.
As the first overseas run by Hualong No. 1, the implementation of this project has directly or indirectly promoted a number of technological innovations and domestic production. In terms of technological innovation, low-pressure rotors, as the core component of the turbine, have overcome several technical and manufacturing problems in the Karachi project. The localization of equipment has also achieved phased results under the promotion of this project. At present, the first domestically produced million-level nuclear power TCS hardware equipment has been completed for manufacturing and functional testing.
