Polaris Hydrogen Energy Network News: Recently, 1MW distributed type in Lu'an City, Anhui ProvinceHydrogen energyThe comprehensive utilization station power grid peak shaving demonstration project was successfully signed in Jin'an Economic Development Zone.

On August 16, Anhui Lu'an successfully signed a 1WM distributed hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization station power grid peak shaving demonstration project. The project was invested and constructed by State Grid Anhui Comprehensive Energy Services Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 50 million yuan. It is located in Jin'an Economic Development Zone, covering an area of 10 mu. It mainly builds a 1WM distributed hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization station. It is the first megawatt-level in ChinaHydrogen energyEnergy storage power station.

State Grid Anhui Branch and Lu'an Municipal Government attach great importance to the hydrogen energy storage power plant project. Previously, State Grid had conducted inspections on relevant enterprises in Lu'an City on the project many times.

In October 2018, Pan Jing, director of the Science and Information Technology Department of State Grid Provincial Company, Wang Liufang, deputy director of the Provincial Academy of Electrical Sciences, and Provincial Comprehensive Energy Service Company, accompanied by Li Biao, deputy director of the Lu'an Concentrated Demonstration Park, went to Anhui Mingtian Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for on-site investigation and inspection.

In April 2019, Dai Zhong, executive director and general manager of State Grid Anhui Comprehensive Energy Services Company, Chen Guohong, Anhui Academy of Electrical Sciences and others came to Jin'an Economic Development Zone again to inspect tomorrow's hydrogen energy project. Dai Zhong said that Anhui Tomorrow Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has leading technology and broad development prospects. He hopes that the two sides can strengthen cooperation and build China's first megawatt-grade hydrogen energy storage power station.

In recent years, Anhui Lu'an City has accelerated the development of the hydrogen energy industry and has initially formed a hydrogen energy industry chain. From hydrogen fuel cells, vehicle production, hydrogen refueling stations, to hydrogen production and hydrogen supply, all links have been laid out, and some cutting-edge scientific research results will soon be converted into products. Hydrogen power station project is a new model of peak shaving in the power grid and a new way to comprehensive energy utilization. It has been included in the State GridThe 2019 science and technology project guide will inject new impetus into the agglomeration and development of the city’s hydrogen energy industry and effectively enhance the popularity of “Lu'an Hydrogen Valley”.

With the rapid development of electrolytic hydrogen production technology, demonstration projects to apply it to renewable energy consumption continue to emerge.Power-to-Gas, which means converting from renewable energy power generation to hydrogen, has gradually become an important direction for the development and application of renewable energy in the international field.

In 2012, the Power-to-Gas project of Germany's Yiang Group used the remaining power to produce hydrogen through electrolytic water during the peak period of electricity in the Falkenhagen area. It was injected into the local natural gas pipeline since 2013, providing energy to the power grid during peak electricity consumption, improving the utilization rate of electricity and reducing peak-to-valley electricity waste.

The Power-to-Gas project in the Toronto area in 2014 deployed a hydrogen production device with a total capacity of 2MW. Power grid operators choose to convert the remaining electricity into hydrogen at the electricity trough according to their electricity consumption needs, and then convert hydrogen into electricity to incorporate it into the power grid for use during the electricity consumption peak, thereby using hydrogen energy technology for energy storage.

According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Energy, there are currentlyThere are 13 hydrogen energy storage projects, 9 of which are in operation, with a total rated power of 20.23MW; it is also worth noting that 7 of these 13 projects are located in Germany.
