In 2019, the electricity consumption of Sichuan society was 263.583 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.17%, and a total of 5,994 market entities were registered, a year-on-year increase of 79.13%. Among them, there were 5462 power users, a year-on-year increase of 90.71%; there were 227 power sales companies, a year-on-year increase of 15.81%; and there were 305 power generation companies, a year-on-year increase of 6.64%. The electricity purchased and retained in Sichuan was 25.764 billion kWh, an increase of 11.05% year-on-year, and the electricity transmitted in the full-sized capacity was 132.389 billion kWh, a decrease of 0.70% year-on-year. In 2019, the province's market-oriented direct transactions were 87.257 billion kWh, an increase of 16.051 billion kWh over the full year of 2018.
