On December 29, the world's largest and highest-altitude hybrid pumped storage project, the Yalong River two-hekou hybrid pumped storage power station, officially started construction. It is reported that the Lianghekou mixed storage power station is the largest large-scale mixed storage project with the highest altitude in my country. The power station has installed 1.2 million kilowatt reversible units, plus the 3 million kilowatt conventional hydropower units that have been built, with a total installed capacity of 4.2 million kilowatts, becoming the world's largest mixed-storage "power bank".

The third phase expansion project of Guoneng Hebei Dingzhou Power Plant started

On December 28, the expansion project of the 2×660MW unit of the Hebei Province's major supporting power supply project, Guoneng Hebei Dingzhou Power Plant Phase III, started construction. It is reported that the project covers an area of about 32.23 hectares, with a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan, and is planned to be put into production in 2024.

The expansion project of the second phase of Qingyuan Power Plant of the State Energy Group started

On December 26, with the successful holding of the third batch of key projects in 2022 of the State Energy Group, the 2×1,000 MW expansion project of the second phase of the Qingyuan Power Plant of Guangdong Company officially started. It is reported that the total investment of the project is about 7.2 billion yuan, and it uses the world's most advanced ultra-supercritical secondary reheating technology to build two 1,000 megawatt coal-fired generator sets.

Jingneng Electric Power's Jingning Phase 2 Unit 3 successfully completed 168-hour trial operation

On December 27, the 168-hour trial operation of Jingning Thermal Power Unit 3 was successfully completed. It is reported that the total investment of the project is 5.216 billion yuan, and it will build two 660,000 kilowatt ultra-supercritical indirect air-cooling and heat-power cogeneration units, and connect to the Mengxi Power Grid through a 500kV dual-return circuit.

Sanxia Energy Gansu Huangyang Pumped Storage Power Station Project has been approved

Recently, Sanxia Energy Gansu Huangyang Pumped Storage Power Station was approved, becoming the first pumped storage power station to be approved by Sanxia Energy. It is reported that the Huangyang Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City. It has a total installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts, a rated head of 478 meters, and is equipped with 4 350,000 kilowatt reversible water pump turbine generators.

The pre-feasibility study review meeting of the Qinshui Pumped Energy Storage Project in Shanxi was held

On December 27, a review meeting on the pre-feasibility study report of Qinshui Pumped Storage Project in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province was held. It is reported that the project is located in Nanwanghe, Xipo Village, with a planned installed capacity of 1,200MW, an annual power generation of about 2 billion kW, and an estimated investment of 7.784 billion yuan.

Gansu Hetuo Pumped Storage Power Station Project Signed

On December 27, the Minxian People's Government and China Machinery Industry Engineering Group Co., Ltd. signed an investment cooperation agreement for the new Minxian Hetuo Pumped Storage Power Station project. It is reported that the project is located in Yirengou Village, Hetuo Town, Min County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province. The project investment scale is about 8 billion yuan and the total installed capacity is 1,200MW.

The full capacity of the State Power Investment Corporation Huaihua Channel's 100-megawatt-level independent shared energy storage power station has been successfully connected to the grid

On December 28, the 80 battery compartments of the 100MW/200MWh energy storage power stations of the Huaihua Channel of the State Power Investment Corporation Jiangxi Company, Hunan New Energy Company, were successfully connected to the grid, and the project officially entered the power generation trial operation stage.

Hebei Xingtai pumped storage power station project starts construction

On December 27, the Xingtai pumped storage power station project with a total investment of 8.47 billion yuan was started in Xindu District. It is reported that the project is located in the Jiangjun Tomb Town and Jingshui Town in the western mountainous area of Xindu District. The total installed capacity is 1,200 MW, and four vertical shaft single-stage mixed flow fixed-rotation reversible water pump turbines are arranged, with a construction period of 5 years.
