YTS Wins the Third Prize at the 10th Maker China Anhui SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Recently, the winners of the 10th Maker China Anhui Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) were officially announced. Anhui Yuteshuang Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the Third Prize in the Enterprise Group of the Intelligent Manufacturing Category for its innovative project, “High-Efficiency Steam Turbine Blade Profile Technology for Energy Saving and Performance Enhancement.” The award recognizes the technology’s successful market applications and outstanding benchmark projects.

The competition was jointly organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and other government authorities. Nearly 1,000 enterprises participated in the preliminary rounds. After multiple stages of evaluation, 81 projects advanced to the final, among which 13 entries competed in on-site presentations and defense sessions

As one of Anhui Province’s most influential innovation and entrepreneurship events, the competition serves as an important platform for technology showcase, project incubation, industry-finance collaboration, and innovation exchange among SMEs and entrepreneurs. Award-winning enterprises will receive continuous support from government authorities and financial institutions, including project application guidance, investment and financing matchmaking, commercialization assistance, market promotion opportunities, and preferential policy support for specialized and innovative enterprise recognition.

The award-winning technology enhances steam turbine efficiency through comprehensive flow-path optimization and energy-saving retrofits. By redesigning blade profiles and integrating advanced sealing technologies, the solution enables steam to do work more effectively, resulting in higher power output and increased electricity generation under the same operating conditions. Depending on project conditions, the technology can achieve efficiency improvements ranging from 7% to over 25%, generating significant economic benefits while also contributing to energy conservation and emissions reduction.

Since its establishment, YTS has been dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of high-efficiency steam turbines. The company specializes in steam turbine flow-path retrofits, efficiency improvement projects, variable operating condition optimization, and comprehensive utilization of waste heat and residual pressure resources in industrial applications.

To date, YTS has successfully implemented this technology across high-energy-intensive industries, including chemical processing, steelmaking, coking, and non-ferrous metallurgy, with more than one hundred benchmark projects completed nationwide. Individual retrofit projects can generate energy savings equivalent to over 1,000 kWh per hour, while a single project can create annual economic benefits exceeding RMB 4.2 million.

Through its accumulated retrofit investment projects, YTS has achieved total annual energy savings of approximately 800 million kWh, saved more than 250,000 tons of standard coal, and reduced carbon-related and particulate emissions by over 700,000 tons. These achievements have delivered substantial economic and environmental benefits while creating sustainable value for both customers and society.
