CHN Energy and Anhui Provincial Leaders Hold High-Level Talks for Accelerating the development and construction of key power generation projects and power transmission projects

On September 8, Zou Lei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Energy Investment Corporation (CHN Energy), met at the Group’s headquarters with Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and Governor of Anhui Province. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening central-local cooperation and accelerating the development of major energy projects.Also attending the meeting were Feng Laifa, President and Deputy Party Secretary of CHN Energy; Fu Zhenbang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President; and Pan Chaohui, Secretary-General of the Anhui Provincial Government.

Governor Wang expressed his appreciation for CHN Energy’s long-standing support for Anhui’s economic and social development, particularly in safeguarding energy and power supply. He outlined the province’s economic, social, and energy sector development, noting that Anhui is earnestly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions during his recent visit. Wang emphasized that Anhui is striving to become a leading hub of scientific and technological innovation, a center for emerging industries, a new frontier of reform and opening-up, and a model for comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. He stressed that these ambitions require a solid foundation in the energy sector. Wang expressed the hope that CHN Energy would further expand its investment in Anhui and deepen practical cooperation in areas such as AI-driven energy innovation, the construction of reliable supporting power generation projects, and transmission network planning—thereby making greater contributions to China’s green and low-carbon energy transition. He added that Anhui will continue to provide full support for CHN Energy’s growth in the province, offering efficient and high-quality services.

Chairman Zou warmly welcomed Governor Wang and his delegation, and thanked Anhui Province for its long-term support. He presented the Group’s development plans in Anhui, stressing that the company attaches great importance to its presence in the province. Looking ahead, Zou said, CHN Energy will remain committed to serving national strategies and regional development, faithfully fulfilling its responsibilities as a central energy enterprise, actively responding to local needs, and making every effort to ensure stable energy supply. At the same time, CHN Energy will accelerate the construction of key power generation and transmission projects, vigorously promote technological and industrial innovation, advance the implementation of cooperative projects, and continuously strengthen its energy supply capacity and green transition capabilities in Anhui—thus contributing both expertise and strength to the province’s energy sector and its high-quality economic and social development.
